The Petals Fall Twice

Today's shameless linkage comes from Canadian cartoonist and comic-book artist Chip Zdarsky, allegedly from his "One Page Series," in which he posts one-page excerpts from various written media. I say allegedly, because a quick scan through his Tumblr didn't reveal any other entries in the one-page series. It's still a good gag either way.

Much of the art is meant to accompany reviews or articles (often for Toronto's National Post), but even before reading the above excerpt, it's obvious that most of the humor and slightly bent perspective comes from Zdarsky himself. Et tu, Mr. Destructo? is a politics, sports and media blog whose purpose is to tell jokes or be really right about things. All of us have real jobs and don't need the hassle that telling jokes here might occasion, which is why it's more tasteful to pretend to be mass murderers.
